The check-in that took travelers around the world

For travelers, few moments match the thrill of check-in — the anticipation, the possibility, the promise of escape. To launch Aeroplan’s new HotelSavers program, we turned that feeling into an experience guests could step inside.

The HotelSavers Check-In reimagined a classic hotel lobby as a journey through Aeroplan’s world of rewards. Guests were greeted by bellhops and led to a custom-built elevator, complete with glowing buttons and cinematic screens that transported them from the beaches of Bora Bora to the skyline of New York. Each stop revealed a new hotel partner and a new story, showing members that when you book with HotelSavers, you’re always going up.

Visually, the space merged Aeroplan’s modern minimalism with playful Art Deco influences — a nod to The Grand Budapest Hotel. Jewel-toned carpets, gold accents, and geometric motifs created an atmosphere that felt both timeless and transportive. The result was a check-in that turned points into possibility and travel into theatre.
